TEAM MEMBER TAKEOVER: Nikkole’s Summer Vacation

By Nikkole Martin
Hello! Nikkole here.
I am Pashion’s Content Manager and Graphic Designer. Come along as I give you a quick recap of my summer holiday and show you how I #TravelWithPashion.
This summer, my husband and I spent two weeks traveling around Spain and the Basque Country. For a little back story: I used to live in Madrid (it was as amazing as you could imagine!), so the country as a whole has a huge piece of my heart. I spent some long-overdue time with my Spanish “family” in Madrid, then got to show my husband some of my favorite spots in the city before we headed North on this year’s European vacation.

The Itinerary:
Madrid > San Sebastián/Donostia > Biarritz > Bilbao > Santander > Barcelona

What I Packed:
• The Cherry Red Brynn
• The Walnut Brynn
• 3" Red Transparent Blocks
• 3" Raffia Flare Blocks
• 1.5" Light Wood Blocks
• Flat Caps

Off to San Sebastian:

San Sebastian (or Donostia, in Basque) is a gorgeous little city in the north of Spain located in the Basque County on the coast of the Bay of Biscay. It is known for its beaches and as a destination for foodies. We ate very, very well here.

48 Hours in Biarritz:

Biarritz, an elegant seaside town on southwestern France’s Basque coast, has been a popular resort since European royalty began visiting in the 1800s. It’s also a major surfing destination, with long sandy beaches and surf schools. We only spent one night there, but I wish we had stayed several more. This was easily one of my favorite places I have ever been to!
While I wore my convertible heels throughout our whole trip, it was here in Biarritz where my Red Cherry Brynns clocked in a whopping 26,198 steps! From cobblestone streets to sandy beaches, these were my go-to travel shoes for allllll the summer adventuring.

Final Stop: Barcelona

Barcelona, our final stop before returning home. I have been to this gorgeous city several times and it never disappoints. We spent some time exploring Park Guell (of course!) and took in the views while I pretended to be in the Cheetah Girls Movie — you know, the one where they go to Barcelona and strut all around the famous sites. A classic.

& that’s a wrap on Spain! But if you’re itching for more, I did elope in London last summer... maybe I’ll tell you all about getting #MarriedWithPashion next time!
