Meet Eliza (@elizaj.vargas), an actress and Pashion pro who was kind enough to do a little Q&A with us!
Q: How did you first find out about Pashions?
A: I found out about Pashions is January 2022 when I started looking for wedding shoes. I knew I wanted burgundy and went for a quick google search and found the Velvet Burgundy Pashionistas and thought they were SO CUTE. Then I realized they were convertible… it was a no brainer, I knew right away I had found my shoes for the big day!!! Thank goodness they were the first ones to pop up in my search!
Q: What do you love about Pashions?
A: What’s not to love about Pashions?!? I have always had a hard time wearing heels as much as I have always loved them because (1) no matter what they are uncomfortable after a while but then (2) I have had a history with back problems and wearing heels doesn’t help, so the fact that they are convertible is quite literally the most brilliant life saver. Then the fact that they are fully customizable and you can dress them up or down with other parts of the shoes!!! From heels, to ankle straps, to ankle bows and toe clips that you can dress up or down with different heights and styles… again I ask “What’s not to love about Pashions???” (Plus I love Haley’s TikTok videos. #samplehaulunboxing)
Q: Do you have any high heel horror stories pre-Pashion?
A: As an actor in LA, there was one day I was cast as a background actor for Mayans M. C. and we were in the middle of nowhere with dirt and gravel everywhere in 4” block heels. I was on set for 14 hours and standing for most of the time and had the shoes on for even longer getting to and from set that day (I provided and came in my costume). The amount of pain I was in by the end of the night (early the next morning), was unbearable. I didn’t even want to stand at all on my feet the next day.
Q: What about a time you were grateful you had Pashions?
A: I was INCREDIBLY grateful for my Pashions on my wedding day! On top of having back problems and having heels being hard to wear regardless, my dress was very, very heavy so the amount of weight on my feet made it so I had to take my heels off after the ceremony and for pictures of my husband and I that followed. I was so relieved when I could just turn them to flats and danced the night away. Even still I found my feet super swollen at the end of the night, yet I can only imagine how much worse and how miserable I would have been if I had kept the heels on all night because I am terrified of getting my foot stomped on if I went barefoot.
A: What’s your favorite pair of Pashions + why? Have a go-to #PashionPairing?
Q: I absolutely love my Whiskey Knit Booties! Normally I don’t love triangle toe shoes, but I actually love how they elongate my legs (#teamshortgirls) and they are just so freaking cute with anything pretty much any time of year. They are my most worn Pashions. As of right now my favorite Pashion pairing with them is with the Walnut 4” block heel for casual wear and the Mother of Pearl 4” block heel for jazzing it up a little.
Q: Why did you feel inspired to become a Pashion Ambassador?
A: I truly believe this is a brilliant invention that any woman that has or will ever wear heels would not only love but need in their lives! And honestly, hearing Haley’s story of how she started the business and some of the behind the scenes stuff as well as continuing to watch the company grow - I just have such a respect for what they’re doing not only because I don’t believe how this hasn’t been around before, but I just think the way Pashion has created convertible heels could not have been done any better. No offense, but I’ve seen other convertible heels since becoming a Pashion fan and almost all of them don’t look as sturdy or safe to wear, they aren’t nearly as cute, you can’t customize them nearly as much and they are usually so much more expensive! To me, it was just a way to help spread awareness of what I truly think is the greatest convertible heel invention that currently exists and may continue to be the case for years to come.
