In their feature of Pashion Footwear’s founding story, the LA Times recounts Haley’s lightbulb moment for convertible heels (spoiler: it involves getting impaled in the foot by a stiletto heel) and what the 8 years after that 20-year-old’s moment entailed — think Shark Tank, Forbes 30 Under 30, Forbes Next 1000… no big deal or anything!

However, those 8 years were “no walk in the park either, given what Pavone called her three strikes — she was young, a woman and new to the footwear industry.”
