Meet Haley Pavone: Pashion Footwear Founder Story

By Haley Pavone

Hey Pashionistas!

Haley here, Pashion Footwear’s Founder and CEO — titles I have so proudly held since 2016 (crazy, right?!).

Even crazier to think that the forming of Pashion back in 2016 came out of one of my worst injuries ever getting impaled in the bare foot by another woman’s stiletto on a dance floor. Yep, it hurt as much as you think it did.

Despite the pain of it all, it was in that lightbulb moment that it hit me: women are constantly choosing between remaining in painful heels all day and ditching their cute heels for something comfier but less flattering, or simply ending up barefoot like I had that night. The problem-solver in me couldn’t stop wondering why a chic heel couldn’t simply turn into a cute flat, and the innovator in me wondered why no one had done it yet…

Turns out, it wasn’t quite simple, but it wasn’t “impossible” (as countless industry experts warned me). It took my small team and me about 2.5 years of rigorous R&D, testing, and engineering to bring convertible heels to life (all while we were still college students!), and it was worth every second. As daunting as it was to dive headfirst into a male-dominated industry that wasn't receptive to change, I'm beyond proud to know we've revolutionized footwear for the better.

From getting to meet our earliest customers (forever grateful to you!), to pitching on ABC’s Shark Tank, to launching the world’s first convertible booties, boots, and wide width heels, to seeing thousands of women wearing and loving Pashions, this journey has been a dream.

I’m a strong believer that your shoes should carry you confidently to your next step, not slow you down. So after centuries of high heels existing with little innovation and even less care for the women who wore them, I’m infinitely proud to have created truly convertible and customizable heels for the modern woman.

Because women do it all, so it was about time our shoes could, too.

xoxo,
